Friday, November 16 at 4:00pm at Carleton University.
In these informal remarks, Dr. Darin Barney, Canada Research Chair in Technology and Citizenship at McGill University, will reflect on the 2012 Quebec students’ movement and related events.
Discussion will focus on the manner in which the events of last spring exposed the possibility and limits of politics, and will be loosely structured around the claims set out in “Why I wear the red square: a list,” published during the strike in Wi: Journal of Mobile Media (see attached file)
The talk will be held from 4-6 pm in Room 2228 in the River Building, located on the third floor.
There will also be an informal post-talk event for which information will be provided shortly.
